One of the sons of the late Liberian President William V.S. Tubman, Sr, John Hilary Tubman was murdered on the night of Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his residence in Fiamah, Sinkor, Monrovia by an unknown persons according to family sources. The body has been deposited at the Samuel Stryker funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
According to family sources, the deceased worked as a private businessman throughout his active life. His mother, the late Jocelia Crenshaw Rancy, had two sons for the late President. The other son, Cllr William Tubman is also deceased.
Although he and William were not children from President Tubman’s wife, Antoinette, they were legitimized by the late Tubman. Shad, Jr, who is the oldest of the Tubman children was also legitimized, as he had different mother. Wilhemina “Coocoo” Tubman who was married to the late former Public Works Minister, Gabriel J. Tucker is the only child of President and Mrs. Tubman.
Security agents are said to be on the trail of the assailants but up to press time there has not been any information relating to the murder besides what the family has put out that he was murdered.
