Min. Nyenpan Receives Multiple Awards

Public Works Minister, Mobutu Vlah Nyenpan has received multiple awards from four separate groups for what they termed as his diligent contributions, commitment and enthusiasm he brings to public service. The institutions that awarded the Minister of Public Works comprised of two media groups and two civil society organizations.

According to the groups, the awards were given to Minister Nyenpan for his dedication to the implementation of the George Weah led government’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD).

The institutions include the Liberia Media Group, Life Transforming Initiative Program Inc., Civil Society Network of Liberia and the New Vision Media Outlet, Publisher of the Microscope Newspaper. As part of the honoring process, the Liberia Media Group and Life Transforming Initiatives Program Inc. also gowned the minister for the level of performance at the Ministry of Public Works for the year under review.

Presenting the awards to Minister Nyenpan on behalf of the Liberia Media Group, its Chairman James Lloyd urged the Public Works Minister to do more and focus in the direction of emancipating the suffering Liberian masses through roads connectivity. He also cautioned the minister against complacency, and pleaded with him to validate the honors bestowed upon him by the different institutions of policy makers in the Liberian society.

According to Mr. Lloyd, his group will not hesitate to withdraw their honors if Mr. Nyenpan does not live up to public expectation for which he attracted the awards. The Liberia Media Group is a conglomeration of the Evidence, Straight Talk, Informer and the Spectator Newspaper.

The Executive Director of the New Vision Media Outlet, Publisher of the Microscope Newspaper, Daniel Rogers thanked the minister for what he referred to as executing the president mandate to develop Liberia through roads connectivity with special reference to the Chugbor Road in District #10, Montserrado County.

Also speaking, Civil Society Network Liberia Chairman, Charles Rogers, recounted Minister Nyenpan performance in public service and reflecting on his previous accomplishments. He however thanked Minister Nyenpan and his staff for their great performance in making the Ministry of Public Works the most effective government ministry in the country for the year in review.

For his part, the founder and executive Director of Life Transforming initiative Inc., Ambassador Melvin Sloh Doweh said Minister Nyenpan has given his institution recognition due to his sustained integrity and innovation he brings to public service.

Doweh added that the Public Works Ministry Boss commitment and dedication in serving the Liberian has earned him the accolades and encourage him to do more for the betterment of the common Liberian citizens.
In response to all the honoree has expressed delight over awards given him by the various groups that honored him for his work in line of his official function.

He said it is a plus for the ministry and the government, whose major priority is road. He said the government is aimed at shifting the lives of the Liberian people from for the better through the pavement of Asphalt community roads. He however thanked the media and civil society institutions for what he called a careful observation of his job at the Ministry of Public Works and other areas he has served.

The minister dedicated the awards to the entire workforce of the Ministry of Public Works for duly being commitment to their works.

He said in keeping with President Weah Inaugural promises that Liberian businesses will no longer be spectators of their own economy under his leadership, the ministry has awarded contracts to Liberia construction firms. The minister indicated that roads are major factors in lifting Liberians from poverty.
