Media House Gives to Orphanage Home -L$170,000 Items Involved

 A social media institution, Fries FM, last Saturday, November 24, donated some assorted and food items to Alfred and Agnes Memorial Institute, an Orphanage home located in the city of Brewerville.  The Orphanage home was established by philanthropists to cater for the welfare of orphans and underprivileged children whose parents cannot afford their education and other needs.

The items donated by Fries FM to the orphanage include 10 mattresses, 15 bags of 25kg rice, 10 cartoons of copybooks, five cartoons of tie-soap, amongst others.

Chief Executive Officer and Page Manager, Ernest Passawe, puts the cost of the items at more than 170,000 Liberian Dollars.

Speaking during the presentation Fries FM Chief Executive Officer and page Manager said the act that created his institution mandate it to help charity homes. He also said the donation was made as a result of findings of a need assessment by Fries FM at the various orphanage homes, including Alfred and Agnes Memorial Institute.

Mr. Passawe indicated that said the gesture is his group’s way of giving back to the community, especially to the underprivileged children of the society.

He noted that the items donated will help in meeting some of the needs of the children at the orphanage home, saying Fries FM is always ready to contribute to the society, mainly to needy.

Receiving the items, Alfred and Agnes Memorial Institute’s principal, Frances K.  Wesseh thanked members of Fries for what she called their unimaginable contribution to the lives of less privileged Liberian children.

According to her, it takes individuals with pure heart to do what the Fries FM has done for the about hundred children at the Orphanage home.

At the same time, she called on the group of men and women to continue their good will to humanity and urged other groups and individuals to follow suit.

“I am so happy about this gesture from these young people; I know that this will not be their stopping point,” saying that she expects them to do more to impact Liberians across the country.
