“Don’t Interfere with Confirmation Hearings” -PPS Fofana Urges Public; Says Boakai Won’t Recall Nyanti’s Nomination

MONROVIA: In the wake of last Thursday’s postponement of the confirmation hearing of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s Foreign Minister designee due to what the Senate had termed as security breach, the Executive Mansion urges the public to desist from interfering in the confirmation hearing of Foreign Minister designate Sara Beysolow Nyanti; and that President Boakai has no plan of recalling Madam Nyanti’s nomination.

According to Presidential Press Secretary Kula Fofana, President Boakai is urging the public to desist from interfering with the confirmation hearing of nominees by the Liberian Senate.

Speaking to reporters over the weekend, Madam Fofana said President Boakai believes in the ability of Madam Nyanti and has no plan of recalling her nomination. She furthered that Mr. Boakai will do everything possible to bring on board the best minds to help his administration.

Madam Nyanti is expected to return to Capitol Hill today to resume her confirmation hearing by the Liberian Senate.
