MONROVIA: The Standard Bearer of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), Mr. Alexander B. Cummings will today, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, address the nation on the occasion of Liberia’s 176th Independence celebrations.
According to the CPP Media Advisory released last evening, “the Standard Bearer will speak on the state of the nation addressing crucial national issues ahead of October’s pivotal elections. The Press Conference will be held at the CPP headquarters, 19th Street, Sinkor, (Beachside). Time: 1:00 pm”
Meanwhile, Media Institutions are advised to assign Senior Journalists to cover the Press Conference and are to be seated at 12:30.
A single party (ANC) CAN NOT constitute a collaboration. Hence, there is no CPP. This boy Cummings who has absolutely no experience in government, and has taken as his running mate a girl who has never ever worked in government and is chronically inexperienced and incompetent as Alexander Cummings himself is still living in the 16th century.
I like Cummings. I think he is a change agent. However he needs to guide against deceit in his politicking. For example how can Liberia economy grow by over 4% in 2022 which is higher than Ghana, Nigeria, USA, EU, sierra leone yet he says nothing is positive. Liberia is rich, Liberia is so rich; same old story from progressive past that every liberian would receive pay without working, minimum government salary $200 yet ended up owing months. Promising sugar candy mountain as in Animal Farm, playing on the innocence of the people. Cummings was introduced to Liberia as a business expert who was to use his connections to bring investments. Where are the investments that are lifting our people from poverty? Even his sugar water company was laying off workers.
I have asked this question over and over. What did Cummings do for Liberia before entering politics? Or did he suddenly discover his Liberia when he discovered his political ambition? Where was this multi-million dollar Liberian when Liberians were dying of hunger? Where was he, eating hamburger? Do you have to hide your true identity by traveling through third countries. Truly, I don’t think the true Cummings has revealed himself to Liberia. I think there is much Liberians don’t know about Cummings. I think he is wearing a mask.
