MONROVIA – In the wake of the sudden passing of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) Standard Bearer Dr. Daniel E. Cassell on December 25, 2022 in Pennsylvania, the United States of America, the Standard Bearer of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, has extended his profound condolence and heartfelt sympathy to the Cassell family, the People’s Liberation Party, the people of Lofa County from where Dr. Cassell hailed, and the people of the Liberia, for the loss of a husband, father, leader, and patriotic citizen, whose philanthropy and goodwill transcended family, party and tribe.
Saddened by the news of the demise of the philanthropist-turned politician, Mr. Cummings noted how Dr. Cassell was highly-regarded and demonstrated love for his country and family. His passion and commitment for a better Liberia was unquestionable. “He will be missed and remembered,” stated Cummings in a press release issued Monday, December 26, 2022.
According to the press release, Mr. Cummings also sent his thoughts and prayers to the widow and children of Dr. Cassell, as they mourn his irreplaceable loss, noting: “may the Almighty God guide and console you during this difficult period of grief.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Cummings says the death of Mr. Cassell must strengthen all Liberians not to give up on our country. In the face of adversities, Mr. Cassell did not give up on working for a better Liberia.
“As they mourn, may the Cassell family find comfort in God Almighty, and may the soul of Dr. Cassell, and all faithful departed, rest in eternal peace,” the release stated solemnly.
Dr. Daniel E. Cassell died during the early morning hours of Monday, December 26, 2022 in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States of America. Confirming his death yesterday in a press release, the PLP called on its Chairpersons, partisans and well-wishers across the country to remain calm as details surrounding the Standard Bearer’s death will be released soon as information becomes available from family sources.
Dr. Cassell entered the body politics of Liberia in 2019 when he and others formed the People’s Liberation Party (PLP). His Liberation message soon engulfed the nation, especially the launch of the Liberation Transport that massively reduced transportation on the Liberian market for the ordinary citizens.
