CU Graduate School Certificates 2023/24 Senior Class Leadership

MONROVIA: The leadership of the 2023/24 class of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies of the Cuttington University were certificated yesterday, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Congo Town Campus of the institution by the Administration in collaboration with the election committee.

Speaking at the colorful ceremony minutes after being certificated, the President elect of the class, Barmon Jallah promised a vibrant leadership which will unite members of the class and ensure collaboration. He indicated that the success of the class is dependent on the collective workings of all students and how the leadership relates to the administration in the interest of their colleagues.

Those certificated as leaders and certificated are Barmon Jallah President, Mariatu F.G. Yekee Vice President, David K. Owen Secretary General, Deanna Seakor Assistant Secretary.

Others are Joshua Badio Financial Secretary, Mentee Tee Gbeimie Assistant Financial Secretary, Ericnetta Toyshe Whisnat Moore Treasure, Masoline Perry Sloan, Assistant Treasure and Jennebah Smith Chaplain.

Jallah stated that his leadership, having understood the economic conditions of the country, will undertake meaningful projects which he said will be efficient, proficient and sufficient as well as appreciated by the institution.

The Class President promised to work with the administration to ensure a smooth and more friendly learning environment which will further enhance the mutual relations between students and administration.

For his part, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Roosevelt G. Jayjay lauded the students for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during their electoral process, noting that he showed how responsible and tolerant they are.

Dr. Jayjay urged the new leaders to exhibit good leadership, indicating that they were trusted by their colleagues to lead with integrity, accountability, transparency and above all respect for members of the class.

According to him, every successful leader must be able to listen and respect the views of those who he/she leads to create a balance in the running of the affairs of his/her administration.

He called on the student leadership elect to do a project that will fit their financial capability and avoid taking on projects that are cost intensive and might not be completed due to its huge financial burden.

The Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies Vice President for Academic Affairs committed himself to work with the students and their leadership elect in achieving some of their goals, adding that his office is always open and he is willing to listen to the students’ plight.

The certification ceremony of the leadership elect of the graduating class of the Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies which was held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in the conference room of the University in Congo Town brought together members of the graduating class, administrative staff and family members of the students.
