COMMENTARY: GOOD DRUGS NOT BAD DRUGS

Generally, when people hear the word drugs, they think that reference is being made to life threatening drugs rather than life saving drugs. Of course, this is the wrong way to think. It s wrong because it is not helpful in making people to make good choices.

What is the Right Direction?

No wonder the people of Liberia have concluded that Liberia is headed in the wrong direction (Afrrobarometer.2022). The direction is wrong because it is poverty generating rather than poverty alleviating. Poverty generation is bad, especially when poverty has become the pretext for violence.

What is the Experience of the Liberian People?

It is the experience of the people of Liberia with the coup d’etat and the civil war in which at least three hundred thousand people got killed and injured.  This experience has led the people of Liberia to be against violence in any form, as seen in the exhibition at the Fish Market in Sinkor by Liberian women

What is Awareness Raising?

This is a form of awareness raising that the Liberian women are engaged in. This awareness raising is motivating the people of Liberian to take actions within the Rule of Law to change Liberia from thee bad prevailing situation to the good enduring situation.

What is the Solution to the Problem?

The awareness raising is at once the only and beat way to change the bad system of injustice to the good system of justice. This change gets persons with good records elected to bring in the system of Justice, the indispensable ingredient for Peace and Progress in Liberia and in any other country.
