The Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) on Peace, Security and Development has been approved by the Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, and Senator Snowe’s participation has been confirmed. The conference aims to address pressing global challenges, including sustainable development, climate resilience, and inter-parliamentary cooperation for peace and security. According to a 7 November 2025 communication addressed to Senator Snowe, Chair of the ECOWAS Parliament Committee on Political Affairs, Peace and Security, the event is scheduled to hold at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad, Pakistan from 11 th to 12th November, 2025.
“I have the honour to write and convey to you the approval of the Honourable Speaker, to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) on Peace, Security and Development,” said the letter signed by the Acting Secretary in the office of the Parliament Speaker.
The communication which asked Senator Snowe “kindly confirm your participation to the secretariat of the Parliament,” also indicated that “While looking forward to your participation, please accept, Honourabie Member, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
Conference Chairperson’s Welcome
In the circular release of the conference secretariat, Hon Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Founding Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), and Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, warmly welcomed delegates to the InterParliamentary Speakers’ Conference scheduled to be held from 10th to 12th November 2025 at Islamabad.
