The political leader of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) and founder of the Dr. Daniel Cassell Foundation, Dr. Daniel Cassel has identified with the Liberian Muslim community during their celebration of their month of Ramadan.
He said, “As Muslims in Liberia and around the world, on April 13, 2021, begin the observance of the month of Ramadan, I want to say congratulations,” and indicated that many of our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters were with us this time last year but are nowhere around this year.
Saying the mercy of God almighty is keeping us alive and that a gift of life we are thankful for. “As you begin this year’s month of fasting and praying, I am asking all Muslims to pray for Liberia, pray for peace and unity.” Dr. Cassell pointed out.
He said last year fasting and praying was a difficult one to the extent that it was difficult because of coronavirus.
Speaking for and on behalf of the People’s Liberation Party, he wish all Muslims in Liberia a happy and successful observance of the month of Ramadan, and the blessing of God and urged them to continue to observe the health protocols put in place by government to curtail the spread of the deadly COVID-19 .
“Let me use this time to say that the fight against covid-19 has not ended. Let us continue to observe the health protocols,” Dr. Cassell said. He congratulated them on the occasion of the religious season of the Muslims.
