Woman, 46, Found Dead -Under Mysterious Circumstance at 72nd Community

The Liberian Nationaol Police have begun the investigation of a the mysterious death of a woman, 46, identified as Florence Massaquoi found in the 72nd SKD Boulevard Community in Paynesville Montserrado County.

Florence, a residence of the Rock Hill vicinity, GSA Road, was found dead early Monday morning on March 1, 2021, lying in a pool of blood in the street with her face down onto the ground and covered with banana leaves.

Police update on the incident quoted the Liberian National Police (LNP) spokesman Moses Carter as saying that the LNP had dispatched a team of homicide officers alongside the Forensic investigators onto the scene to the incident at about 6:00am.

Carter indicated that the team met the lady unconscious though, but added that Florence was pronounced dead by nurses assigned at the Police clinic.

Mr. Carter explained further that the LNP and the family of the late Florence have agreed unanimously to take the body to the Maureen Capehart Funeral home, where noted forensic Examination is being conducted, although some onlookers that went on the scene believed that Florence died as a result of gang rape.

The Police spokesman urged the Public to remain calm, noting that the LNP will do its utmost best to meticulously investigate this matter to its logical. And also called on Members of the public to assist Police with any useful information on circumstances leading to the death of Madam Massaquoi.

“The family and the general public will be proactively updated as the investigation unfolds,” the police spokesman assured, urging he public to remain calmed, as the LNP will do its utmost best to meticulously investigate this matter to its logical.

Carter further urged members of the public to assist us with any useful information on circumstances leading to the death of Madam Massaquoi.

Meanwhile, the police have also said its attention has been drawn to the death of another citizen, yet to be identified, who was allegedly beaten to death at about 11 PM on February 27, 2021 by angry crowd within the Zazay Community in Paynesville.

The LNP also spoke of report trending on social media about a child (identity withheld) who was believed to have been allegedly stabbed by his father in the Paynesville, Rehab Community.

During police investigation and medical examination conducted, it was established that the child has medical issues which cannot be released to the public based on confidentiality, according to Mr. Carter who said the LNP appreciates members of the public who continuously flag issues trending in society for law enforcement actions.
