MONROVIA – The political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC) and chairman of Liberia’s opposition bloc, the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), will on toWednesday, August 5, 2020 at 12 noon address the nation on major issues of national concern.
According to an ANC press release, Mr. Cummings’ nationwide address, which will be held at the ANC headquarters, comes against the background of the current political and economic crisis, and the looming threats of violence within the country.
“Members of the print and electronic media are invited, and are asked to be seated no later than 11:30 A.M. All citizens, civil society organizations, partisans and members of the ANC and CPP are also encouraged to attend and be on time. All are asked to wear masks, or masks will be provided to those who do not have,” the release stated.
It can be recalled, Mr. Cummings and delegation traveled recently to the Southeast where they were viciously attacked by stone-throwing mob demanding they immediately leave Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County because Representative Yekeh who was part of Mr. Cummings’ delegation had the habit of always insulting President George Weah.
