Dillon’s Council Donates to Hospitals, Clinics

The contribution of Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dillon transcends the community level, as the Senator’s Development Council (SDDC) put smiles on the faces of several major Hospitals and Clinics in Montserrado County.

Accordingly, the SDDC on Monday, May 25, 2020, donated assorted disinfectants and rice to the health institutions, including St. Joseph Catholic Hospital, ELWA Hospital, Benson Hospital, SD Cooper Hospital and some clinics amongst others.

The Senator Dillon Development Council’s chairperson, Madam Comfort Bedell, who presented the donation at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital in Congo Town, committed the Council to providing for the well-being of the people of the county, especially during this crisis time.

Madam Bedell indicated that that the donation was part of Senator Dillon’s contribution to strengthening the beneficiaries and noted that materials are necessary to assist the hospitals and clinics with their efforts at the containment and prevention of the deadly disease in Montserrado County.

The SDDC chairperson indicated that the donation is in furtherance of commitments made by Senator Dillon during his campaign when he pledged the monthly submission of 3,000 USD to the people of Montserrado County from his salary.

Madam Bedell said the SDDC will ensure the use the money committed to the people wisely, by giving back to the people of the county through worthy initiatives as manifested by the donation.

She expressed gratitude to all health Workers in Montserrado County for their tremendous efforts at the fight against the spread COVID-19 and urged adherence to the established health protocols.

“Let me commend all the health Workers in Montserrado County for their tremendous efforts in the fight against COVID-19. And also I want to call on all Liberians to continue to abiding by all health protocols setup by the health authorities that are aimed at containing and preventing the spread of the Coronavirus in Liberia.”

Receiving the donations, representatives of the hospitals and clinics extended appreciations to Senator Abraham Darius Dillon for his good gesture to their hospitals and clinics.

They also thanked the senator for his commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Montserrado County.

“We will like to say thanks to Senator Dillon for his support, and we promise to use these items for the intended purpose. God Will continue to bless him and we will continue to support him,” they pledged.
